Poll: Would you rather play on a Nintendo console or not play at all?

I got the idea for this poll after reading a post on GAF saying something like, "Honestly, most of these so-called 'hardcore gamers' and journalists and Western devs just seem to hate Nintendo. They would probably give up gaming before playing on a Nintendo console."

And this got me thinking. I, too, have seen this "hatred" he talks about on forums and on "game journalism" sites. It seems to have come from the "ohh, nintendo is so kiddy/casual/mario is so gaay/etc," I've noticed.

So I figured I'd post here to see what you all'd say.

Also, I'm not talking about any specific Nintendo console, just some abitrary console that they could make based on their history of consoles and software lineup.

And no running to PC or handhelds, either! I'm specifically talking about consoles.

Addendum: We're also assuming there's no competition. Nintendo is the only company with a console on the market.

No, I'd definitely play a SNES rather than not play at all.

i would play IF motion controlls are 100% optional if they are not it would be time to find a new hobby

I could easily play nothing but the SNES for the rest of my life and I'd be perfectly happy with that.

Nintendo console. First thing I'd do is mod it so I can play SNES games on it or something while waiting for Super Smash Bros Roughhouse.

NES and SNES and Gamecube will suffice for me. I dont think I can do N64, the graphics on that system have not aged well at all. Maybe if I had a good, working SDTV.

People don't make any sense They would give up gaming just because nintendo was the only one? They aren't real gamers then.
