I think the day devs stopped seriously making games for it is the day it really died...because that was the day it no longer had any chance of surviving.

New games still come out for it, I think there's supposed to be 50ish games this year, Ive heard that somewhere. In fact, a fairly big release for Japanese game fans with Sakura Wars in March, its the 1st one to make it to the states.

One thing to note though, Activision said no PS2 versions of their music games this year. Bet that sucks for anybody who bought PS2 version of DJ Hero

I'm looking forward to Sakura Wars, but it could be the last PS2 game I buy.

Probably, I don't see anyone jumping to publish World War Moe 2. And if they did they'd go with the PSP version. Oh wait there was a new Summon Night game, Gran-Thesis, but why Atlus would waste time on that, when there are several other DS entries not localized, I don't know. (Why exactly did Namco Bandai/Banpresto choose to make that PS2 only?)

Can't think of anything else, unless they went for old releases that were never brought over.

PSP is getting lots of PS2 ports, it works both ways, so they can extend the PS2 by porting more PSP titles to it.

Well, my PS2 died a couple of months ago.

But it'll live on in my heart.

I'm just angry with it because I really wanted to play God of War the other day.

Its already dead imo.

The only think making it sell (imo) is that PS3 is not backwards compatible.
