I'd say around this near June or July. But you never know, the stripped down sports games, might make the PS2 go another year. But looking at how many games releasesd for it per month, i think it's safe to say the PS2 will be done by this year.

Dead in the developed world by mid-2011, another price drop this year before Christmas though making it cheaper than whatever is cheap these days ($50/£70). They only launched in Brazil in November 2009 and will probably hit other emerging markets with it though. |

2011 will probably be the last official year, I imagine we'll only see a few titles for the system. 2010 will be the last year of games that anybody actually gives a rip about, and not that many really care. The most recent game I bought for the systme came out in 2009, only game I bought then, also only bought 1 in 2008, 2007 was technically its last decent year.

Persona 4 was probably the last "big" game. Jak and Daxter was pushed more as a PSP game. I think EA and ports of crap games will sustain it for a year or so. |

Yeah, you forgot the "6 months ago" option.  I think the day devs stopped seriously making games for it is the day it really died...because that was the day it no longer had any chance of surviving. |

I think it'll last intil sometime next year, but a lot of casuals still buy new PS2 games so who knows. I actually bought Ape Escape 2 for it last week although that purchase was more for collection purposes
