| Probably, but, like I said, no one cares about them, since they aren't buying new TVs.

| I know you said you didn't want to argue this any further, but every country besides 3rd world countries, HD has become the standard, if I go to my local electronics store now I garantue you every TV in that store will be either HD-Ready or Full-HD. SD is dead. Hell if you want to see the free TV channels in Denmark you gotta have a TV with MPEG4 tuner built-in and that forced a lot of people to buy HD TVs, no one wanted to buy a TV tuner to put the SD TV on life support

It's hard to argue with Leo here (being an SDTV owner myself ). HD penetration in the US isn't even at 50% yet - I can only imagine what it is in the rest of the world. Your friends and "people you know" don't represent anywhere near close to the majority of people. Facts are facts, and the facts are in Leo's favor.Obviously that percentage will grow until it is eventually 100%, but anyone thinking 3D is going to become huge right away is fooling themselves. Anyhow, to the original question: Obviously Nintendo is doing it better! Glasses make me a sad panda. It seems almost like a step backwards to watch TV. Today I can sit in relative comfort, at any angle I'd like, without some stupid and bulky nonsense sitting on my face. Tomorrow I won't have any of those luxuries! 3D is fail. Not only that, but I'd like someone to explain the difference between an HD and 3D TV? Is a 3D nothing more than an HD with 120hz input? If so, then welcome to the latest bamboozling of the consumer. |

There is a difference between inventing it and USING it. Just like the morons who claim that Nintendo wasn't innovating when they made the Wiimote. Yes they weren't the FIRST to make the tech but they were the first to make it fun/useful.

![]() I'm sure the motion controllers that came before the Wii-mote had some fun and useful applications. If you're going to argue anything about the Wii-mote in terms of "firsts" - it was the first to go mainstream/mass market.

This poll is similar to "who sucks the least?" 3D sucks.
