Thanks, MFJ. Is it just me or do the Pokemon look happier now? According to those scans, the trainer you don't pick will be an ally of yours of sorts (because your rival isn't your neighbor), and a wide shot of the area you're entering will be shown like in FireRed/LeafGreen. |

Do want. D/P/P failed in my book, there was something like 2 fire pokemon you could get before a good long while. Most of the godamn game it felt like. Also what do we have now like 500fricken pokemon and their was no fricken vareity. Will buy A.S.A.P, I loved larvitar, ursaring, . This and the original pokemon are the best IMO, after that they all seem kinda lame. O how I hated Miltank in the 3rd gym( IIRC)

It's either chimchar or ponyta. I agree there is usually a limited number of fire pokemon before you beat the Elite, but in D/P you can only get Ponyta if you don't get the starter. Ponyta is a crappy fire pokemon too.

well Chimchar is the best out of this set of starters and one of the best fire types so far, so it kinda balances out, but Chibi never really liked fire types much anyway

There really aren't very many Fire Pokemon in general. Outside of starters and legendaries there are only like eight evolution lines with Fire types. In Red/Blue you could only get Vulpix or Growlithe early on depending on the verison. Ponyta sucks, and Magmar is pretty hard to get in addition to only being in Blue. That said, Arcanine is the bomb; cool looking, interesting moves (Will-O-Wisp, Extremespeed, Roar, Iron Head), useful ability, good offense while being somewhat bulky, and decent speed. Chibi always liked Vulpix more than growlithe probably only cuz they're foxes with that being said Chibi has stopped liking ninetails since Naruto came out

I may be a bit biased, given that he featured in the most ridiculous episode of the anime, Holy Matrimony (you know, the one where James's parents try to get him to marry someone before he's allowed his inheritance or something, craziness ensues) YouTube - Pokemon: Holy Matrimony (English) 1 of 3 5:20 always made me lol. |
