i'm sorry, did you actually ask on the last page if you're "turning into a graphics whore"? like as if that was a serious question? like as in you were serious? like as in you actually had to ask, if, you were "turning into" a graphics whore? seriously?

People need to stop whining about the screen resolution for goodness sake. Its more than enough for a handheld plus the 3D effect adds something that extra pixels alone simply cannot.

Last December I upgraded from the HTC Mogul to the HTC Touch Pro2. (Hell, I should have waited. I want the HTC Evo soooo bad now.) I went from the Mogul's 320x240 screen, to the Pro2's 800x480 screen (assuming the phones were on their side). The difference was.... amazing. It was really, really gorgeous. I don't use the Pro2 as a gaming phone, but even the simple packed-in games with the phone looked great too. After my honeymoon period with the phone, I got back to playing some DS games.... ouch. But is it the higher resolution that makes the difference you see or is it simply that it has a better display?

(as an example a TFT TN panel with high resolution will still look inferior to a TFT IPS panel even if the IPS panel has lower resolution)

EDIT:// or is it simply that your phone has better CPU so it can simply make more polys which would still look better than your DS even at a lower res?

I'll just wait till Nintendo announce new colours... the current ones are hideous.

And yes, I do realise this will take years... *facepalm*

I blame the programers more than the hardware in this case

The GPU they're using apparently doesn't support MSAA.
