It doesn't name a specific religion or god. Annuit cœptis means approved of our undertakings, without naming who that might be. You can believe in a higher order without being Christian or Jew or Muslim or ...

You're living in fantasy land. How you can deny that the country was founded under certain beliefs is beyond me, but whatever... that's your belief and you're entitled to it. And I'm not saying our beliefs, or what we were founded on, is right or wrong. I'm just saying it is what it is. |
