Lousy Bruins...they swept the home-in-home a couple weeks ago from the Rangers (which I'm sure you're aware of). They dominated both games. I was pissed.

I'm aware of all. The B's have been playing rather well recently, so I hope they prove that they didn't really need Hossa after all and beat the Pens. That being said I wouldn't be too upset if Hossa signs with the Bruins as a UFA this summer.

The B's are a sneaky bunch because you don't hear much about them, but they're a very solid team up and down.

If half their team hadn't spent most of the season injured they'd be much less sneaky.

I still wonder why they got rid of Thornton, though. I mean, they don't get much better than him. He's fun to watch.

Salary had nothing to do with it. You know the old saying "You can't fire the players, so you fire the coach"? This was a case where they decided to try firing the player instead. I wasn't as against the trade as others were though. I chose to be a Marco Sturm fan within minutes of hearing about the trade, and he hasn't let me down yet.

Yeah...everybody's always talking about Marco Sturm.

I guess if Thornton was being disruptive then it's best to let him go.

He wasn't being disruptive. It's just that the team wasn't doing very well and trading Thornton was O'Connell's attempt to turn the team around.
