Except you'll be running it on something far more compact and less powerful. This shows me how deep under the rock Microsoft is. Mobile Safari on OS 3.0 uses the same codebase as Safari 4, and is the fastest mobile browser in terms of JS performance. I still hate the desktop version, and use Chromium instead. Plus, stop making it as if you run IE6 by will. We run IE7 at work, and is just as craptastic. When I go home it is Chromium for me

At home I have the latest IE with Vista, of course. It has a lot of extra bells and whistles, but for strictly surfing the intertewbs, IE6 gets the job done just as well. But I doubt I'll be getting any mobile device for internet access any time soon. By the time work is over, I'm pretty sick of staring at computers. It's all I do every effing day for 8 hours a day. I mean, yeah, it'd be nice to have, but certainly not a necessity and I cringe at spending so much on a stinkin' phone. |
