That works too. However, people who work on Wine ports need to get their act together. I know they do it for nothing, but still they're very sloppy.

Very sloppy?
Try reimplementing a blackbox. They are doing a great job.

Big question is:

Are you going to use OS X or are you a Windows man?

For me that is a dealbreaker since I really think OS X is the best OS currently. But if you don't feel that way go with ie the Toshiba (BTW it's the first time I've seen a computer with better spec that is actually cheaper than a mac).

Remember that with a Mac (as long as you run OS X) you don't need AV software and you get the iLife software with the Mac (Apple - iLife - Do more with photos, movies, and music on a Mac.).

Mac OS X seems to be finally getting not only a decent version of Microsoft Office -this time with Outlook- but what could be better than the Windows version.
Previous releases -I've got Office 2008- are pathetic, but this upcoming one looks really good.

Mac users get both menus and ribbons; and Outlook finally.

Why the hell do you use MS office?
The Mac version is like the Windows version of iTunes slow and horrible (but I <3 iTunes on  ) .

NeoOffice looks better, is faster, has the functionality at least I need and is free!

Why do you guys still buy or pirate MS office?

You ever heard of Open Office?

OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

Couldn't resist MS Office at $50 discount and 3 licenses.

IBM Lotus Symphony is where it is, but MS Office 2011 seems decent.

IBM Lotus Symphony is based off of OO.o, but with what I think is a nicer UI.

There's tons of free anti-virus/firewall software out there, a good portion of which the security is better than anything Norton or another bloatware, AV subscription product will give you.

Or you could do that thing domo suggested. Your choice I guess.
