Dennis did make a change at one point, although I forget what it was changed to. Under the old system we were at the point where there were dozens of bot accounts created each day. For a while after the change the bot accounts stopped but it didn't take long for them to start getting through again. Maybe only about a dozen per week now but a higher percentage of those ended up posting spam.

Spambots were actually a minor concern when compared to Mr bomb and Leonidas to a lesser extent. Even before he was banned bomb made repeated attempts to create alt accounts. After he was banned it was one after the other until his 1 month ban turned into a 1 year ban and he finally got the point although still denying that many of the alts were his.
