Palin didn't run for President, but I'm sure McCain didn't make anyone feel much better.

There's no doubt with help from Bush that the Republicans killed themselves, but Obama bamboozled a lot of people. I mean, he won the Presidency by a landslide and had everyone believing he was some great hope, but if you remember, he barely beat Hilary for the Democratic nomination, and nobody had even heard of the guy before that.

The American voting public was scammed and now we're paying the price. I don't see Obama being elected for a 2nd term, but it wouldn't completely surprise me if he was.

I highly doubt it.

You do realize that the two main factors contributing to the huge U.S. debt are the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, right? Everything else pales in comparison.

In the end it doesn't really matter who you vote for because they're all pretty much the same. Promises are made that it turns out they can't keep and saying you'll change things doesn't work because it either takes too long for a change to properly take place or they realize that most people are scared of new and different things so the status quo ends up being kept just to keep the voters happy.

Yes, but the billions upon billions upon billions he gave away didn't help.

Don't even go there. I know you like Obama - you'll have to get over the fact that there are people who don't! It's easy to like someone when you don't have to live in the country they run.

Why do defensive? I'm not idolizing Obama, I'm just saying that blaming him for your national debt isn't fair. It's the result of decades of failed policy.

I just didn't want to get into a political debate. I'm in a very bad mood today! Just got back from vacation to a truckload of shit at work, so I'm a grumpy guss.

I'm not blaming Obama for the whole deficit - I'm just saying that he hasn't helped it at all. A lot of people point the finger at Bush, too - but it isn't getting better under someone new. Basically, when it comes to knowing what they're talking about, most people know f*ck all.

Politics are the worst. I'm Republican and so is my father, but he's much more extreme than I am. I even look at him sometimes like, "give me a break."

People will say what they have to, to make you hate what they hate. I find politics very exhausting and frustrating. Whenever I find myself being sucked in by it more, I'm in a bad mood more often! Just tell me how much to pay in taxes and which of my freedoms are being taken away and let me live in peace otherwise.
