The genesis was NOT more powerful than the SNES. It did have addons in an attempt to extend its life, and was technically more powerful with these considered, but neither proved their worth in that department. And the N64 was the most powerful than the saturn.

All the SNES could do better than the Genesis was output more colours. Games always actually RAN better on the Megadrive. Saturn was like the PS3 loads of power that could barely be utilised thanks to being shitty to code for. It had 2 or 3 CPus at the time, and could actually output pretty much as many polygons as the N64. The N64 could gouraud shade and had textures, which gave a better appearance, but in terms of ACTUAL polygons being pumped out, I think the N64 was beaten by BOTH the PS1 and the Saturn. But that's besides the point, the PS1 wasn't the best console. In my eyes, it was actually the worst. I adored the N64, and it probably was the best console in that generation, but my loyalty to Sega requires I say the Saturn was better, even though it probably wasn't. | |
