They sort of had a comeback with their CPUs being in all consoles, but most consumers don't know or care.

They lost the desktop and laptop business. They are strong players in the server, mainframe and supercomputer market.

The Chrome OS at its very core is a modified Ubuntu distro.

I could have converted my Ubuntu OS into a full fledged Chrome OS. I just had to download a few packages and run a script Google provided.
