If you notice, that hasn't really happened since then. And, yes, MS usually only shows or announces when there's either a release date or very firm window when they plan to release the game. There are no MS published games that I can think of that we've seen and have no idea when they'll be released. Not one. | |

Actually I dug myself into a hole here, all Thom has to do is point to the rushed release of the 360 and the hardware problems that caused. ![]() I just like to see you two arguing.

Sony delayed the PS3 for a whole year. The initial goal was Christmas 2005. Microsoft managed to start on the X360 a year later, steal some of the Cell's design, and profit out of it faster. Then all the PS3 games that were supposed to be launch titles but were forever delayed. If Natal comes out before PS3 motion thing, it'll be really bad for Sony. In terms of tech, no one can argue that Natal is more ambitious and risky. If Sony can't pull out this thing on time, they should rename themselves to NOP.

| Not really. Both these "controllers" will live or die based upon the support they receive and if there is a game or games that will provide the incentive for people to buy it. It's not like people are dying to be able to play motion controlled HD games and will jump on the bandwagon of whoever launches first. E3 will probably tell the tale of which will be more successful when we actually see games in action.

You are looking at from the hardcore perspective. The same POV that predicted the Wii will be a failure, a fad and a short-lived gimmick. Sony and Microsoft needs it to expand its brand to new market and new gamers.

| And why did the Wii sell as well as it did? Not because of motion control but because of Wii Sports. It had a game that people wanted to buy the system to play. If Wii Sports hadn't existed and the Wii launched with Twilight Princess or a motion controlled Mario game do you think it would have caught on with the casual crowd anywhere near as much as it did?
