Default Proof that GT5 has tested patience.

Gran Turismo 10.85m

Gran Turismo2 9.37m

Gran Turismo3 14.89m

Gran Turismo 4 Pro:1.36m 4:10.52m

Gran Tourismo 5 Pro: 3.58m (WTF.)

These stast show there is a 79% chance that nobody will by GT5. Yes, Pro 4 solde less than 4, but since 5 Pro was anticipates and looked upon as better than previous titles, at this rate it is guranted 5, even with the few fans still waiting, will sell badly. It's time for Sony to either quick release racing game like NFS or make another game series. Come on Poly.

Dying to buy a PS3 for Uncharted 2 but my pride says no. And I still love EA.

No, look, exclude 4 pro a sec. Because unlike pro 5 pro 4 was not advertised. These are showing drops of sales of Gt. Yes, it may look as 2 is the only one that didn't pass the 10 mil mark (Excluding 4 pro.) But as you know, Pro 5 was advertised and was considered more fun then 4 and previous titles. If that is the case, which it is, there is no way GT5 is even going to pass the 9 mil mark. Especially since the PS brand has reached its days.

You can't just exclude something because it doesn't fit your data.

GT PSP has 1.8m sales on a system that's "dead".

Weren't they all supposed to be more fun than the one before it? I'd find it hard to believe they could sell the game saying otherwise.

Nah, 3 was definitely advertised as "less fun than 2, but buy it or we'll send Phil Harrison round to kick your teeth in".

A quick question for you Thom. Do you still plan to buy GT5 once it comes out, regardless if you have to wait for it until you're an old man lying on your death bed?

Gran Turismo 4 Pro:1.36m 4:10.52m Look at this. good, now Pro 4 was not advertised, and really nobody cared who brought 4 pro. then 4 came out a little later, which was and people brought.

GT5 pro comes out. It is advertised, POLY wants it brought. Fans think it will sell big, goes out the way to be the best. But, on a console that was not a sales friendly as the PS2. Annnnd since the PS2 at this time just spits games for money and not quality, the GT brand kinda dives with the PS3. If GT5 Pro dived with the PS3 and went out of it's way to be the best, but sold crap, what chance is it that GT5 will have better sales figure than 5 pro? It makes perfect sense. because if 4 pro had the support 5 pro did, then 4 pro would sell better or near 4.
