Also, I just beat MGS4 again, and I think it gave me some closure on my long hate of fighting games.

Fighting games are useless to me, but I think they may find some life if they are placed within other games instead of pretending to be worth 60 bucks.

For example, in MGS4 the last thing you play is an epic, and enjoyable fight complete with health bars, side stepping, special moves, and etc. It requires strategy and balls.

Imagine this in other games though.

Masterchief is kicked by the arbiter, knocking his weapons of A CLIFF OF DOOM. And then they engage in complex hand to hand combat.

The most common complaint about Beat em ups is that you "mash the same button over and over again".

Its really an invalid complaint, since in an FPS game, you press the right trigger over and over. In a platform game, you press the bottom face button over and over. You do the same combinations over and over in a fighting game. You basically use the same 2 buttons in a racing game the entire time you play it. Yet, these games do not receive this complaint. If you find this game dull because of pressing the same button over and over, you might as well stop playing shooting, racing, fighting, sports, and platform games. Doesn't leave your with much, does it?

Why do you have such a problem accepting that some people just find the game boring? It's not like if you enjoy games in a certain genre you're going to enjoy every single game in that genre.

I don't care, if you think this game is boring, good for you, spend the money elsewhere.

It did succeed at one thing. It made me want to play the far superior River City Ransom again.

But in those games, you use those 2 or 3 buttons in a variety of situations, often stressing situations.

It's not doing the same thing over and over again.

Beat em ups are the same way, and in many of them you won't beat the game if you literally mash the same buttons over and over.

I was going to be smart and say nobody actually called beat-em-ups repetitive, just boring. But then Fyrus had to ruin my fun.

Absolutely adore the movie and what I've read so far of the comics though.
