Personally this a win for all gamers, great franchise but they should have done a double take and put both games on one disc.

If you ever wanted to clutch at straws regarding the release of an “exclusive” game, then now is the time. A cracked piece of Mass Effect 2 source code seems to retain two-lines of code retaining to the apparent existence of a Playstation 3 version of the game.

You’re looking for the bottom six lines of code, each belonging to the “XBox”, “PC”, and – whut? – “PS3″ versions of the game. At the very least, if not a coincidence, this means there is a PS3 version of the game somewhere. Of course, it could be mean nothing at all.

We’re still holding hope for a Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2 blu-ray compilation pack a little later in the year. EA may aswell, it’ll surely sell a million or so copies.

The problem with no ME1 is that ME2 assumed Shepard was an idiot and made all the worst possible choices in ME1. The only way to recover that would be to make the additional content put you into some of these choices directly.
