thats the problem, he cant seem to figure out that they are 2 completely unrelated things. Seriously for a smart fella i cant see why its so complicated to understand

EA have done a fantastic job with the online pass thing, Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield 2 were well supported with this method. It's just an easy way to offer those who buy new an incentive to buy new, but also making money from people who buy used, use their servers, but don't contribute anything towards them.
