The big question is: can Nintendo retain all these new fans they got with the Wii nextgen?? Because, those kids will grow up, and they will shift away from kiddie stuff, but the next DS will have no problem whatsoever

I think Nintendo has pretty much a constructive base on how they do innovations: Innovate, Refine, Innovate, Refine, etc.

However, only every 2nd Innovate after the 1st one is gonna be a BIG success.

So basically, Wii is to the NES as the next system will be to the SNES. Basically, it will be similar to the Wii, but more refined. Then Nintendo will innovate again and it will be something that companies will begin implementing, but it wont actually be nearly as successful (a la N64) then the next Refine will also have a change in Media (Which means Nintendo will finally move from discs to... something elese) a la Gamecube before we get another Wii or NES.

Nintendo did a good job this time around, it is crazy how they took the market by storm. They even made the other companies copy their idea, natal and wound. I hope they can keep this up, they certainly have the money. Sony and Microsoft focused to much on non games, since they are companies that are not only games but other media. Microsoft and Sony should team up, great hardware from Sony and software from microsoft.

What kids? The new fans are mostly adults who weren't interested in games before. And next gen some of the teenagers/young adult boys will have grown up some more and feel more secure about enjoying brightly colored games
