Figured I'd combine these three announcements together so I wouldn't have to make three threads. ---------------- METROID Other M Metroid: Other M website opened today, and is confirmed as a Summer release for Japan. Xenoblade? Is this not a spiritual Xenogears/Xenosaga game? This will cause me to buy a Wii if it comes stateside.

Xenoblade better be good! I'm a huge fan of Xenogears and Xenosaga If Monolith Soft doesn't deliver I'll be disappointed Last Story sounds a lot like Final Fantasy, I hope Sakaguchi delivers on this. I only want it to be FF6 level of greatness. If Xenoblade ends up being as good as Xenogears or Xenosaga 2, and if Last Story ends up being as good as FF6, I'll be so happy I could cry. I don't want any action-y bullshit! I want a faithful, pure, honest and true turn-based JRPG.

Sakaguchi said something something player's emotions blah blah blah, so GAF thinks maybe it'll use the vitality sensor in some way.

Fine with me, any gimmick is OK as long as it is turn-based  I don't care if it is played using the balance boardThe Wii is getting very interesting. Maybe it'll be the JRPGs console? Has the marketshare and easy to develop for.

| Other M being sent to die in PAL September? lol. Why would you put up a main franchise being handled by a 3rd party, that hasn't sold all that well in the first place, up against one of the best selling franchises of the last 2 generations? lol Nintendo. This game should have waited for Christmas or come out BEFORE Reach. |

I dont. I wanna buy both, but I sure as hell wont be picking up Other M day one as I otherwise WOULD have had it not been released alongside Halo Reach. I bought the other 3 Metroids day one. Not to mention, it doesn't have online multiplayer (I think?) so it's not like it has an online community I might miss out on. The people interested in Other M, would, more often than not, be multi console owners, and they'd be taking Reach before Other Many day. | |
