Maybe NSMB Wii is harder - I haven't played it yet - but NSMB DS is the easiest of all the Mario platformers by far. Mario Galaxy was a little harder than SM64 IIRC, but I don't remember how it compares to Sunshine. Quote:

Yeah, I got 120 stars. Is it this one? YouTube - Super Mario Galaxy - Luigi's Purple Coins I remember that level, I think I died twice. For me, it really wasn't that hard.

Mario 64 wasn't all that hard. For the most part Mario games have never really been what would be considered hard. Outside of maybe one or two levels per game there has never been much that should give any decent gamer any prolonged difficulty.

tbh i am not actually a mario 64 expert as i never had it on 64 (blasphemy) and the ds version had terrible controls-- however, there is still no way that it's easier than mario galaxy
