It's at 85 on Metacritic and the highest rated Monster Hunter game at that, so it must be doing something right.

tbh i was rlly rlly looking forward to it i heard about the purposely broken camera and clunkadunk action but i thought that would just mean it was old school this is kind of embarrassing but i was kind of hoping this game would compete with that red dead redemption game all the kids are talking about, given the online | |

I actually own the game, its pretty fun. As stated you accept quests from the towns to slay or collect certain items from either monsters or plants that lay around the fields in the regions. At first you only have access to a few parts of the first land and as you complete quest more opens up for you to explore. You dont need to actually accept a quest to go into the lands and slay or explore, you can just enter and do whaterver the hell you want to do. However, doing the quests allow you to progress further in the game and gain new lands to travel too. The multiplayer element is fun too, you can either play split screen arena battles with a friend and it allows you to save your character to the Wiimote so you can bring home your items you aquired during the battles with them. You can also go online and form a party of 4 players to do harder quests, or just collect special online items to bring offline. Capcom is constantly adding new quests and items to download or access online. Lobbies support 100 people to run around with, when I went online just after getting the game aboot a month ago I guess, there was aboot 40k people online.. Probably alot more now as word of mouth spreads. All In All, I'd say for those hardcore gamers out there who complain the Wii has nothing this is diffinetly one to get, it looks great and plays great. Though dont think you'll just walk in and win every fight come across.. I'v been killed more times than I'v won lol, but thats cause I just ran into the rooms, and ended up luring the entire map on myself, including a boss. And you dont need friend codes to play with people !!!! Anyways, hopefully that explains abit.. anything else jsut ask and when I'm around I'll reply. |
