Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

I don't really enjoy sneaking around in shadows either. I played through most of the 1st one, but then got to a point that seemed impossible to get past - and I stopped playing. Haven't picked up an SC since.

I figure I'll give the demo a try, but I don't have high hopes that I'll like it much.

The later Splinter Cell games are a little easier, Chaos Theory IMHO was the perfect balance of difficulty, it was challenging, but it wasnt as linear with how you did objectives as the 1st 2 games were, so if you couldnt do it one way you could try another and another.

wouldent be the first time, Ghost Recon series being a big example, went from a well balanced tactical shooter.... bit like rainbow six but outdoors instead of mainly urban enviroments to some generic shit 3rd person shooter...

hell look at whats happend to rainbow 6... ubisoft has been doing this to tom clancy games for years now

The Advance Warfighter series is well loved, moreso than the original Ghost Recon games actually. My favorites in the Rainbow Six series is still the original on PC and Rainbox Six 3 on the XBOX, but that's because I haven't tried either of the Vegas games.

They're not even comparable. Controls, approach, stealth. Different execution entirely.

origenal ghost recon was unique in its feel and online especialy with coop play required 100% team work with everyone knowing what they where doing it was high tention

advanced warfighter.... well its much loved becouse it apeard on a console and was pretty.....

thats about it... really there are so many other games that do the whole 3rd person "BEHIND COVER OR DIE" so much better.... rainbow 6 vegas being one of them.... ubisoft played gears of war.... thought what series can we slam a name on and sell? ghost recon was the pic

There seemed to be a good mix of people who like the game and those who don't. It's a different type of SC... people hate change.

As for Ghost Recon - I liked the earlier versions as well. More tactical.

I didn't say that, I just said the game was bad and fans of the game think it's bad, thus, it appeals to no one.

Also, it has a shocking lack of colour... who thought greyscale when in a shadow was a good idea?
