it's been a long time coming, but thq has finally revealed when their "one and only piece" of downloadable content for their atmospheric shooter metro 2033 will be coming to xbox live marketplace and steam: August 3.

The new ranger pack dlc includes new weapons, achievements, and introduces the new ranger mode, which boosts the deadliness of you and your foes, and removes the hud entirely. Pro tip: Dead enemies are a great substitute for breadcrumbs. The pack also includes the new heavy automatic shotgun and the miller’s oft-envied weapon, the volt driver.

The ranger pack will be available next tuesday for 240 microsoft points, or as a free auto-update on steam.

I just finished the game today, great story good for scares. Good graphics, guns blazing or stealth elements. Decent weapons. The controlls are a little off but that was probably my only complaint. 8.5/10

okay, i just got this game a week ago and beat it....it was actually better than i thought it would be, ai sucks and controls are a bit too slipper for me, but it was pretty good...didn't get the DLC, twas worthless for me if it doesn't add some story...

same here, i had times where i was gonna knife a guy from behind but i forgot to select it so it took me forever to get the weapon out, and there was another guy about to walk toward me so i said screw it and shot 'em all...

Just beat the game, it was briliant. I think I might just write a full review of this game.

I didn't buy the ranger pack either, I bought the game through GAME.co.uk where they had an exclusive limited edition for no more than £20, it came with exclusive packaging, heavy automatic shotgun and 4 pictures of concept art. It wasn't the most interesting limited edition i've ever bought...
