$400 was too much a year and a half ago. I don't see this bundle doing very well.

MS has really done nothing good as far as Kinect is concerned over the last few months. Games that will only appeal to the casual market. Prices that would only be paid by the core market. Even MS seems to be losing confidence in it as I haven't seen much boasting about how great it is, like they were doing most of last year. A quick and painful fade into oblivion seems more and more likely all the time. While I still don't expect Move to sell huge either, Sony is doing a much better job at trying to implement it. Using it as an optional control scheme to the standard controller as they are doing with many games is the best thing they could do. While developers may not see enough market to continue making Move only games they don't really lose anything by adding Move controls to other games keeping it playable for all PS3 owners and allowing Move to remain relevant longer.

You must be going on the wrong sites because Kinect news is all over the place. MS has said that they're concentrating on demonstrating the launch games now, but we'll hear a lot more about what's coming after then. That includes core game integration... supposedly. With Move launching next week, though, you'd expect to see more about it now. There are a few reviews for some of its games and such. |

I did see a cross promotion commercial while in the States on the weekend for Kinect and Macy's. Now it could just be because we don't have Macy's in Canada but that seemed to me like a weird store for MS to be advertising with. Does Macy's even sell video games? And is it not considered to be a somewhat classier store who's patrons wouldn't be the type to lower themselves to the level of playing games that aren't bridge?

Everything else you said are the same kinds of things I've been thinking. But Macy's isn't really that "classy." They used to be moreso, but then bought out Filene's, and now they're more like a JC Penney than they are a Lord and Taylor. Quote:

When I was at Wal-Mart the other day, the TV's in their electronics department were showing a series of Move ads.

You never know man. It could flop, or it could sell like gangbusters.

gang·bust·er /ˈgæŋˌbʌstər/ Show Spelled[gang-buhs-ter] Show IPA –noun Informal . 1. a law-enforcement officer who specializes in breaking up organized crime, often by forceful or sensational means. 2. someone or something having great impact, usually in a positive way. 3. gangbusters, an outstandingly successful state or situation: We aren't looking for gangbusters, but we'd like you to pass all your subjects this semester. I don't know how the hell that turned into number 3.
