This is Bungie's Official Reach Portal which has loads of cool stuff like:

We're expecting the Beta in probably April or May at this stage, but nothing is confirmed.

As always, there are always rumors and speculation, things like:

6 Player co-op
Perks a la Modern Warfare
Classes
Credit that can be used to buy Armour permutations and such

What IS confirmed however, is that this game will rock the shit and sell more than anything else on the 360 before it, which is a good thing.

Now, hopefully we can actually discuss Reach in this thread?

BETA officially begins on the 3rd of May so make sure you have your copy of ODST to get in!!!!!

The other thread wasn't an official thread. It was just a Halo reach "w o w" thread. If you want to have a thread without criticism, have at it. I won't spoil your fun. I only posted 2 times, maybe 3 in the other thread.

While this has a REAL chance of derailing the thread, I'lll oblige anyway, but please don't let it get out of control. It was just a comment made out of excite (despite the fact it will be true).

Halo 3 sold 3.3 mill in the US in it's first month on a userbase of less than 10 million consoles.

MW2 sold 4.2 on a userbase of around 16 mill or so.

It's safe to say Reach will beat 4.2 considering the userbase will be even bigger again.

But let's stick to Reach GAME talk, instead of sales talk please.

All Halo fans need to pick up a copy of ODST so they can get into the BETA, I expect to see you all in there.

I'm not sure about that outselling MW2 thing. We'll see, though.

I'm pumped for the multiplayer beta. If the Halo 1 pistol or something similar is back I will not hesitate to call this teh best game evar.

I've read a few times on Bungie there's gonna be a media blowout in mid-January. Looking forward to it.

I have ODST so I can get in the Reach beta, but I'm not sure I want to.

I haven't played any substantial competitive multiplayer since Halo 2 system link. 4 vs 4 on two tv's was so much fun, playing online just doesn't compare.

I am looking forward to the co-op campaign, and I'm hoping Reach will have an evolution of the excellent Firefight mode. I've been playing some more firefight with friends this week, trying to get the 200k achievement for each map. The more I play it, the better it gets. I hope they keep working on this for future Halo games.
