Oh, don't start with the outright lying business. We all know PM just gets a little anxious and talks about stuff in his games that don't end up making the cut. He doesn't do that any longer - and he certainly wasn't the only one doing it anyway. He's just more awesome so his "lies" get more attention.

I wish PM were my father.

He can get excited, no one is denying him that, but there's an acceptable level of bullshit and hype developers can use.

Maybe he needs to stop making huge promises he can't deliver on or, alternatively, get a new dev team who can match his ridiculous visions.

Well, that was like 7 years ago. Fable II had pretty much everything he said it would. People expected certain features to be different from what PM said they would be, but that's other people's fault - not PM's. I'm sure he'll be good for Fable III as well.

Like, a lot of people complained about the level to which you could alter the land. They expected tiny villages to turn into huge cities or something. Well, PM never said that would happen - he merely said you could influence the land. Yeah, maybe he made it sound like it would be better than it was, but what is he supposed to say?

"This feature is in and it sucks and nobody will like it."

I think that's honestly what people expect him to say. His words are scrutinized 10X as much now because he said you could plant a tree in Fable and you really couldn't. It wasn't even a feature that would have made a difference anyway. But the guy is strung up by his knuckles for life because of it. I've had this conversation with Icemage on Syzzlewhatever and I showed him plenty of examples where developers said a feature would be in that never made the cut. Where are their iron maidens, I ask?!?!?

All the same, Natal can fuck off from Fable entirely.

I wouldnt mind some light Natal usage.

At the very least, to "map your face" in the game so you can play as yourself, or do that, and make some minor adjustments or whatever.
